Who We Are

We are called to…

Know and Love God | We relate with God through His Son, Jesus Christ, and we continue in obedience to Him through devotion to Scripture, the fellowship of the Church, the breaking of the bread and prayer.

Love One Another | We walk together as disciples of Jesus in the family of God, contending for each person’s transformation in Christ, maturity in the faith and ministry in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Make Disciples | We join God’s purposes to see those far from Christ know Him in the context of our spheres of influence, local community, and among the unreached of the earth.

Our Mission

We exist to spread a passion for Jesus, His people, and His purposes in the earth.

Our Vision

To see the gospel of the Kingdom transform lives and communities in Central Houston and the nations of the earth through knowing and loving God, loving one another, and making disciples of Jesus Christ.

We believe this vision is realized through the local church as we consistently gather together and then scatter to impact our world.

We do this through five main expressions:

  • Our Personal Love Relationship with Jesus

  • Life Together in Core Groups of 3-5 people

  • Lifegroups or house churches that serve as our primary church expression

  • Consistent Corporate Gatherings

  • Each person embracing God’s purposes within their Sphere of Influence, the Local Community, and Among the Unreached Peoples of the Earth.

Leadership

Our Beliefs

The Antioch
Movement

“Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do to hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.” -Isaiah 54:2-3

The Antioch Movement was started in 1986 by Jimmy and Laura Seibert in Waco, Texas. While serving in a baptist church in Waco, God gave them a vision of the local church as a church planting training and sending center. Thirty plus years later, the Antioch Movement consists of more than 40 US churches and more than 80 international church planting teams. Antioch Houston Family of Churches

“He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel; he will assemble the scattered people of Judah from the four quarters of the earth.” -Isaiah 11:12

In 2012, Fred and Becca Nelson carried this Antioch church-planting church vision to Houston. As the original Antioch Houston church began to grow and multiply across the city, the Antioch Houston Family of Churches was formed in 2020 as a relational network of Antioch churches in the greater Houston metroplex to collaborate for mutual support and mission. Today, the Antioch Houston Family of Churches consists of three churches in the greater Houston metroplex, long term international workers in various countries, as well as several shared local impact ministries.
