Houston is home to over 200 ethnic groups, and this summer we want to celebrate the beauty of the nations right here in our city.
There's something powerful about sharing a table—stories are exchanged, friendships are formed, and barriers come down. So come pull up a chair, try something new, and engage the nations one conversation at a time.

Consider taking advantage of this summer’s different rhythm for your personal discipleship. How can you live a more Connected Life to God, one another, and the world around you? Below are a few ideas to fuel these relationships, but invite people to join or guide you as you jump in. This may be your family, your Core Group, a few people in your Lifegroup, a coworker, or a mentor.
Use the lists below as ideas on something you can do to grow in one of these. Focus on building the practice and let the Holy Spirit do His work in you. After a month or two, reflect together on how this practice has shaped you.
-
Start a Thanks Journal.
Pray the Lord’s Prayer morning, noon, and night.
Use a few minutes of Silence to help you abide in Christ throughout your day.
Read How to Pray: A Simple Guide for Normal People and put it into practice on a weekly basis.
-
Read Ephesians throughout our series. Read it all the way through quickly, the again chapter by chapter, then slower again, reflected on a few verses each day.
Follow a 30 Day Reading Plan—this one gives you an overview of the Bible and includes accompanying videos.
Work through 30 Days to Understanding the Bible, an easy-to-follow guide that helps build confidence in reading the Bible by introducing the key people, events, and doctrines so you can get more out of God’s Word.
